Dragon Warriors Combat Tutorial

The rules of combat are some of the most fundamental to any fantasy role-playing game - a large proportion of Dragon Warriors adventures is likely to be taken up with battles against monsters and hostile ne'er-do-wells.

Combat in Dragon Warriors is divided into rounds in which each combatant takes a turn in order of their Reflexes score (highest to lowest). In each round, each combatant determines whether they hit an opponent and whether they do any damage - in this basic tutorial, you'll learn how to:

calculate whether your attack hits;
defend yourself with armour and shields;
calculate damage;
fight multiple opponents;
fight with ranged weapons; and
use movement to move into or out of combat, and also to evade attacks.

Lastly, the tutorial introduces some special combat circumstances in which your character may find themselves under attack.
